The Dakar Fashion Week is the first large event that expand the visibility of African Design in Senegal, It is being held at Radisson Blu Hotel in Dakar (Senegal) from the 12th to 16th of January 2017. Ghanaian/Netherlands brand ‘ByWubben’ previously known as Akwan2fo is heading to Dakar to showcase his awesome desings. The show will be part of the brand ‘by wubben’ launch. The collection is inspired by minimalism. By using african fabrics they try to create a unique minimalistic style. All their outfits and other items are designed in The Netherlands and handmade in Ghana.
[envira-gallery id=”4659″]Akwan2fo Fashion was established in February 2014 with the aim to create more working opportunities for a group of carefully selected tailors in Assin-Fosu Ghana. The brand started with some pillowcases, shoppers and clutches. Because the demand for the products in Europe was there and the collaboration with the tailors went so well the brand decided to start designing and manufacturing a clothing line.
