Mr. Asamoah’s clientele list reads like an international Who’s Who including prominent politicians, corporate executives, and celebrities. Mr. Asamoah graduated Cum Laude from Morgan State University with a dual degree in Engineering and Physics. Prior to starting his tailoring business, he worked as a computer consultant and attained the level of Certified Instructor in automated testing. In May 2005, Mr. Asamoah’s entrepreneurial spirit kicked in and without any prior experience in tailoring -- led him to the creation of Kustom Looks Clothier.
Asamoah founded Kustom Looks Clothier out of his Bowie, MD townhome with no investors and lots of faith. After leaving his six-figure salary in IT/Computers, there has been no turning back for the trailblazing entrepreneur. In January 2009, Kustom Looks Clothier opened their flagship storefront in downtown Silver Spring, MD. Kustom Looks was the clothier for some of the most recognizable faces on American TV including former Maryland Lt Governor Anthony Brown, Former Maryland Lt Governor Michael Steele, Grammy Award Winner Peabo Bryson, ABC Channel 8 News Leon Harris, the Washington Redskins coaching staff and broadcasters.
Looking to take advantage of numerous opportunities, Asamoah expanded his operations to his motherland of Accra in 2011. Kustom Looks Ghana was launched with a new showroom inside the A&C Mall in East Legon. After 3 years of successful retailing, Asamoah fulfilled his lifelong goal of establishing a manufacturing factory in Accra. With a full factory, Kustom Looks provides Bespoke suits and couture dresses throughout Ghana, Europe, and the USA.
Residing full time in Accra since 2012, Asamoah joined Omega Psi Phi Fraternity, Inc in 2013 as the first African line in the history of the frat.
